Hankook Tyres Drift Team are today making final preparations in advance of this weekends opening event to the 2010 Prodrift Ireland Series. Taking place at Cork Marts, Fermoy, County Cork, Hankook Tyres will launch their 2010 Drift Team infront of a capacity audience at the Prodrift Series season opener.
Returning for his 4th season as Hankook team driver, local Cork drifter Alan Lenihan, driving a Nissan Silvia S13, will spear head the teams assault on this years Irish drifting championship. For 2010 Lenihan will be joined by Carlow driver Alan Sinnott driving his highly tuned WKD Imports Toyota Corolla AE86. Sinnott joins the Hankook team in 2010 following a successful 2009 campaign which saw the Carlow driver narrowly miss out on the Prodrift Super Series title by just one championship point.

Fermoy is the first of five Prodrift Championship events for 2010 and takes place on Saturday 17th & Sunday April 18th at the Cork Marts. With large numbers of Irish drifting fans expected for Sunday’s main event, the Hankook pit area will be open for attendees to inspect the team vehicles at close quarters and meet the Hankook drivers for autographed memorabilia. Tickets for Sundays event can be purchased at the gate with Sundays action starting at 12 noon.
