My brother and I are heading over Friday to Sunday... Flying from manchester though, as I'm over here at the moment.
Flights from dublin are handy, just mean you'll have to go thiursday to Tuesday maybe with the way they run.
Do a search and you'll find stuff from the last few years when lads have gone. I was there in 2013 too, it's an awesome weekend!!!
Cheers Damien yea I thinking I remember reading a post with Webber at the bottom it must have been yours, I'm really just trying to get figures in my head as the what it will cos iv a few jobs getting done by John stone just got my hands on a gt86 and woundering if it's viable to go this year daly
Well flights are usually around €100, go Thursday till Tuesday, get a good spot on the camping site, either near the track or below the "party camp", definitely camp though as the craic is savage! You'll want about €500 of spending money, last year we rented a focus estate for the trip and got it for €500, you'll have to rent a car, it's a tough enough place to get to with public transport and you'll end up getting a taxi. Norways off licences are closed on Saturday afternoon so get all your beer on Thursday.
Bring the tent and sleeping bag with you as tent over there will cost around €300-400.
fuck camping , we were posh cunts and rented a camper for the week. think its worth the few bob. cook your own food and fridge to keep all your stuff cold, good beds the lot. everything is seriously expensive. so we reckoned it evened out as we just bought a weeks amount of food in the supermarket and cooked out own burgers etc. we did use the camper to do a bit of touring round norway on the last two days waiting for the flight home. youll have to rent a car anyways so size up whats best for you.
you wont regret going anyways. its some laugh. like oxegen except people are sound and not thieving cunts . the locals are great crack . track action is just plain crazy. easy to meet some of the big names and have the chat too.
theres a thread here somewhere that gives a few different ways to go about it.
Yeah I think I'll have to go all considered cheers for the heads up boys hopefully I'll see ye out there
