    Another update

    Brakes:
    Got some Yellowstuff pads

Decided they needed bedding in & coilovers needed testing, swapped the brakes & coilovers over onto my 320d

To test them propperly I brought them to the best testing ground in the world....

Encountered a few issues... warped a brand new set of genuine bmw (330d) discs on the front, and destroyed a set of OEM rear pads

got new EBC High Carbon discs for the front... which subsiquently are now in the track car

the end result: 9:34 BTG time on my 5th lap... Suspension & Brakes officially Nurbrugring Tested!

Windows, polycarbonate windows all round, and a new front windscreen... Cracked the original in the top corner taking it out :/

I think you need a standard windscreen in most championships if you plan on competing

Yes the windscreen is Glass, polycarbonate everything else

Anyways, time for a few more updates
Intercooler fitted & all 3" stainless pipes flared to prevent blowoff's

The entrance to the intake manifold was also bored out to 60mm & a steel insert with a flare pressed in to form a seal

"Straight" Through 3" Stainless Turbo Back exhaust made with an extra flexi Joint at the rear differential.... Just Incase

I brought the car out for a bit of a rip & immediately encountered a few issues, CV Joint into the Diff pretty much exploded & the clutch slipped. Both are known issues on highly torqued 330d's

    That got addressed fairly quickly

Had to dial gauge the propshaft to get rid of as much vibration as possible

Made a 10mm plate to prevent the CV Joint exploding out ever again, Having a slight issue with the CV Booth ballooning out with centrifugal force & tearing at the moment... Rubber is too soft in the CV Booth I picked up :/ Ended up burning against the chassis & eventually Tearing

    Interior

    Bodywork

    Weight saving:

25kg taken out of the two doors

Bumper test fitted & lining up to match in arch extensions

    Then painted everything

Bodywork Complete (sorry the windows are not in these pics as these last few updates are a bit out of order)

The Two Cars back together again:
