I'm running a beams on throttle bodies in an 86 at the moment going to be mapped next week hopefully.
Management is necessary for either an ITB or turbo set up to get the most from it and to be reliable. Adaptronic e420c from efi.co.uk is 850 quid with a generic loom its an easy job to wire it up. Throttle bodies were 80 quid mani worked out about 200quid and trumpets another 150 or so. All in costing me about 1300 euro plus a bit of time. Hoping to make over 200hp with it, should be more than enough to have fun in a little corolla.

Next project I'm taking on is going to be a turbo altezza for sure, the beams are such an underrated engine in this country!!!!

Keep your itb setup and turbo that, just fab a box for the itb's and add a turbo mani Would you not consider the 440 ?

What did ye do about the vaccuum lines that run to the original inlet plenum?

presuming you have an altezza, why not just buy sr running gear and sell the beams running gear

Mates have a turbo one using a greddy kit and another using a blitz super charger! The super charged one has yet to be mapped properly but there defo not very fast! I'd doubt either is over 250bhp although the forced induction is a nice touch over standard power and torque wise! With standard compression I wouldn't go much above .5 bar boost on those kits

Nah gonna keep the corolla n/a and just buy a tezz and turbo that have the best of both worlds. For my setup I didn't need the functionality of the e440 so just didn't see the point in spending the extra money, e420 is still lightyears ahead of any comparable priced standalone ecu.

Running a single vaccum to my map sensor from one throttle body and another to my fuel pressure regulator. A single map reading will be fine once your throttle bodies are correctly balanced.

They are just a touch to high compression in standard form for a shed load of boost which is the only downfall, pistons really are necessary to see real gains. 0.8 is possible on a standard engine though with correct mapping.
