    Default idle issue rb20det

    Hi all,

Before I changed plugs, she would idle perfect at 800rpm, very steady without any splutter. Since Ive changed plugs she would tick over sometimes at 800rpm, then 600rpm then 400rpm and back up, just all over the place and shes very lumpy...but it would boost and run not a bother, much smoother than before. I was recommended to get NGK copper core for my skyline rb20. Could it be wrong plugs that I got? As well cleaned throttle body with carb cleaner as it was filthy. Gave it good run after but still the same... Any ideas?

plugs are ngk bcr8es copper core, as far as i know they gaped to .8, i didnt disconnect many vacuum lines just two, and i lifted the whole thing up ( had mate holding it while i was changing plugs lol ). The little pipe under throttle body was all cracked, so I fitted the spare one, but i think its way too small for air to travel through. This is a lil hose I am on about

My yoke is running ~240 at 1 bar, did i get the wrong plugs?

Throw back in the old plugs again jus so you can rule that out, bcr8's should be sound, jus make sure your vacuum lines are all on properly!

Ah ya should be sound, can't see it being anything too serious, it has to be something that you done when changing the plugs if it was sound before you went at it! Check your vacuum pipes whilst your at it,
Let us know how you get on
