Default Prodrift Academy / First Time To Drift Question

Well folks - just wondering if any of ye can help me out

I have a friend who is into drifting but never got to try it themselves and hasnt really sat on with anyone except a few blasts round a roundabout in my own car. They dont have a RWD car and dont really have the cash/time to get one with college and that. Their birthday is coming up soon and their mother was asking me about the Mondello Prodrift Academy. I dont really know anything about it so i said id try and gather up more information on it

This is the link to their site

    https://www.mondello.ie/driving_experiences/drift/

Just wondering has anyone on here done this and what did they think of it?? i read over it and the only thing that would throw me is that for the €99/229/249 your only getting 20 - 25 mins seat time. It was the €99 package they were looking at - would it worth doing or are you just paying to go down and sit learning about drifting for 2 hours and then go outside and diff for 20 mins?? I would imagine they arent limited to €99 but theres no point them going for an advanced course either

I do understand that for someone who has never drifted before they will have to learn the basics but just looking to find out what would be the best value for money to give an overall experience??

If anyone has any other reccommendations to places that can do this please let me know

    Any and all help appreciated

    Thanks
    Matt

99 euro course consists of 3 parts, 1st is diffin, 2nd is hard brake turns and the 3rd is initiating a drift on a handbrake, ya get 4 attempts at each and tbh i taught it was pretty shit and not worth the money, i got it as a present but i wouldn't buy it again.

thats what i was worried about - im sure itd do perfect if you just got more seat time but to only get 20 mins is pretty shit, esp that the majority of that 20 mins is diffin and doin handbrake turns lol. that would be perfect if you got like a full day down there, even 12-6 or something . Are there any alternatives for people that would like to try it for a day but cant afford having a full time drift car?

The woman done it the same day as me and she couldnt iniate a drift at the end of it, it was either ya get it or ya dont, i was literally sick from dizziness doing the diffing, wanted to more of the 3rd bit but was ordered off. Best experience day ive ever done was rally connect in Waterford, they actually let ya push really hard and if its wet ya'll get the arse of the escorts out lots, well worth doing, especially when your turn is supposed to be over and the instructor/the lad that owns it is roaring at ya to go again over the mic, great craic.

Know a few of the lads went with this crowd
Said it was very good, as you got great time in cars and good instruction through-out and at end of it .

They went a few years ago .

    Yeap,
they got the Rally Taster Plus Experience one think its 135 or 140 , something like that.

Said it was quite good, relaxed but at same time, the instructors do actually instruct and help ya push it .
They was maybe 3 or 4 of them i think at it, but there was others also at same time, who basically ended up messing and being eejits, so the lads go separated and got an extra 25 mins each, because the eejits messing, cut into their time.

This was maybe last year or year before I think.

They didnt get a choice of cars, its the MKII Escort,

There was evo and other stuff there, but could of been just for show, no idea.
