    Default Adam's k's ps13 1jz vvti

OK . so where do i start . i was on the look for a ps13 for ages and ages, i viewed a few in Ireland but none were up to spec at all. all of them had very bad body corrosion / rust problems.
i was then contacted one night about a navy un registered ps13 that was in the country 2 days . i honestly thought it was a piss take so i rang the number.it was then i realized it was true and rising sun legends in cork (myles cooper) had one sitting in the docks in Dublin.. he sent me a few pics and the auction sheet and i just had to view it.
knowing the car was 100 % standard ment i could start with a blank canvas and make it mine with a rust free shell.

some of the pics i received of it

and so into ireland she came
in the docks and on the way home

the car needs some minor body work as there is faded lacquer and minor bits. i was happy with it.

went and bought a bride seat for it with a super low rail and a fmic kit.gave the bride a right good wash and she came up like new

painted the fmic black and tucked her it in behind the bumper

i bought a gtr style grille and got it fitted and painted .also have a set of red and clear lights in the post

so as a mechanic myself i said id bring it to work and give her a good going over the weekend. the car is mint underneath , and simply is.. i didnt wan the irish roads to take its toll and i wanted a full rust free protecion on the arches and rust prone strut towers on the front, gave it a good underseal

i was trying to decide what kit/ wheels etc to go with on the car so i decided im going with a 17inch rays te37 in bronze with low offset with all the original aero parts, so firstly i picked up this mint aero bumper from Japanese performance.

while i had it in work i removed aircon, carbon charcoal canister delete, bov removal. cleaned out air filter. lowered the tein coilovers, sprayed the gtr grille.just a few bits aswell and this is how she sits as of today..

i have big plans for this car. watch this space

What underseal did you use? Great to see cars getting imported. Looking forward to how this turns out.

So with mapping next week I'm in a panic to get it going again .. I'm a mechanic by trade and I work a lot in the evenings for myself so it does be very hard to find the time to get near it ..

Fitted my extra lock drift work steering boots . Fit really we'll and not even under stretch and I have a good lock set up ..

Since my car was hicas from factory I set upon removing all of it and while keeping the standard hicas power steering pump I disassembled it to remove the veins from the rear of the pump to stop it creating pressure . Gonna mig weld up the pipe fitting in work tomorrow

After hours upon hours of work I'm finally finished my exhaust manifold . It's now single scroll too . One of my mates is going to get it tig welded up for me at his work so I'll have it back at the weekend

Fitted my tomei fuel pressure regulator. My z32 Nissan fuel filter and made up a few braided line with all the earls an6 bits

Also went braided from the fuel pump to the hardline and fitted the fully reconditioned tank I got done .. Bridges the fuel pump relay and set the static pressure on the regulator to 37psi . 36psi is the standard recommendation I think

That's pretty much all for the moment . I'm waiting on post from frsport with a throttle body gasket and a idle air controll valve gasket . And a sr s14 throttle body pulley . All Genuine Nissan too . Them I can bolt on the inlet . It's only sitting there at the moment ..

The water lines to the iacv and the two water lines to the throttle body I've also made in braided line just waiting on some more an6 line finishers for them . Expensive but fuck it no price on reliability .. The hardship of a 23 year old water pipe leaking would Rot me ...

Trying to mock up the new intercooler pipe work . I really need to get new pipes made

Also done some coil over adjustment

Got my manifold back tig welded up so I can finally put it all back together now ..

Also got a new iacv gasket , throttle body gasket , s14 throttle body pulley to work the Freddy manifold . Oh and a bit and washer for the rocker cover ha
