depends in what year the car is for it to pass the nct,
pre 1991 you can have what you like.
after 1/2/1991 you'll have to meet these specs

ya can order them online on eireplates...think there around 22 each...i got pulled in before and was told to take them of my car and i failed nct with them but 1 or 2 of my mates passed nct with them so dont no wat the story is with them

A place called radiator services in Dublin city will make you any plate's you want plastic steel any font size's literally anything Ye want price's depend on what you want, there in a little lane called Rutland place I think.
If it has tits or tyres soon or later it's trouble!!
