    Question S body brakes

    Hey Guys,

What is a good set up for brakes on a S body??

My PS13 has 300mm brake discs up front with blueprint pads and 4 pot S14 calipers. The rear is the shoe in disc type skyline hubs with endless pads, twin pot calipers and ill be running a hydro as well as using the mechanical handbrake.

Is this a good set up or can anything else be done to improve it?

    Cheers,

    Joe

That a grand setup Joe. What are the front disks off, if they're near 296mm are they not r33 gtst or r32 gtr discs (crossed drilled)?

If you wanted to be silly picky, you could change the calipers.. the s14/s15 ones are iron, could got for alloy, but the best your going to be getting in 4 pistons up front.

fuck all really man, they're a bit lighter

weight per caliper.. s14 4.8kg (iron), z32 3.6kg (alloy), r33 3.8kg (alloy), do the maths

I usually don't carry this info around in my head now , just happened to be looking at the brake upgrades available for my 180 last night. The r33 gts25t look like the most practical conversion for me, fingers crossed getting them on Saturday

    Why choose z32 over a skyline r33?

Iv heard before that there is no need to upgrade the S13 master cylinder, that the standard one is good enough.
