I ran 25 psi front and 30 psi rear at Nutts yesterday. Poor tyres didn't help but it seemed to be a good combo

WHAT!!! in the chaser?
Yup..........alot harder to loose traction in the Chaser than it looks!! Its suspension set up is set up for serious traction!! Bon used run 70psi in the back
70? do the tires not absolutely shred themselves with the heat straight away?

Jebus!
A lot of it depends on tyre width, power of the car and type of tyre.

i always had 30 psi all round in the road cam and the trueno i have 30 in the front and 40 in the back
i had 40 psi in my road wheels last time i was in nutts and they delaminated after 1 lap....ONE FECKIN LAP due to the heat! so i ran after, although my old tires that were sitting out in the garden months lasted ages with 30 in them.

i ran near 50psi on my 225 federals in mondello,i was afraid to see what pressure was in them when hot
anyone ever used tyre deflators?

Nope...................take a while!
@ Darragh...............i run federal 595 RS's
I found my car goes better with lower pressure, 22 - 25 in front, 25 - 30 in the back. Then again this depends on conditions and power etc..
i run 25psi front wet and dry and rear is 45psi dry and 25psi wet
yesterday i was running 30 psi on the front and 40 psi on the back.

I'd say a bit lower might have helped you out a little up there Ste
il take that on board darragh and drop it for the next time i get out

Sounds about right to me
does the higher pressure really make that much difference ye????

well the lower the pressure the more grip on the ground, the higher the pressure the easyer it is to spin the wheels...
less pressure + hot surface = hard to spin wheels & drift
ah maybe thats why my wheels wont spin up in 2nd in dry well that and the MASSIVE TURBO LAG

You using RSR's chuck?? they mightnt delaminate so quick as there're designed for track use, and getting hot..
I run 30/32 in the front and sometimes 25 in the back to stop them delaminating..
If tires start delaminating let the pressure drop, its amazing how much the psi rises
as soon as ya do a few laps in a driftcar!
