View Full Version : Wheel colour advice please...
Getting my N1 Altia wheels refurb'd next week, and stuck between two colours.
At the moment they are gunmetal grey (same colour as car)
Other option i have is white.
What do people think?
(pic is not of my car, but closest i could find with wheels fitted)

NOOOOOOOOO! White wheels look tacky on it.......! The gunmetal looks mean.......!
the wheels at the moment, are factory colour, which is the same colour as the car. Only thing im afraid of is that the crowd doing the refurb can match the colour.

yeah maybe a litttle bit robbie!
but i think in the pictures he has there the white is reli nice ! but the gun metal looks very street! but i dont no how many of those skylines i have seen with gunmetal rims!
tbh id go white... makes the car stand out from the road lol.
otherwise its all grey...
Gun metal way better....white looks tackey on alot of road cars..
Gun metal grey looks way better than white for this job imo

white is a real rota colour, and hence makes other white wheels look cheap and tacky :D
gun metal woo woo
here is the car fitted with 25mm spacer and a wheel before a refurb (excuse the shitty, skinny tyre!)
So far, im liking it!

gun metal is nice but its the same color as the car dont think it works great white does stand out better, think you should go for a dark bronze:cool: ive a color code here if you want it for a dark bronze:D
dark bronze or gloss black with the grey car would look hard as nails.
more in favor of the bronze myself as the wheel design in this case wont look the best in black.
the spokes are very simple and white wont look too good in my opinion.
white to me is for race cars n rally cars n compeditive drift cars with sponsor ship vynal on em,
the pueter grey is nice certinly the r32 colour id want if i owned it , bronze is the way forward.
I painted one wheel matt black tonight for the craic. Im liking how it turned out! im between minds. Either the gun metal or matt black.

im going to throw a tyre onto it tomorrow and see how it looks on the car.

What about black?
sprayed one SATIN black last night
http://i46.tinypic.com/210gl7d.jpg
have a tyre fitted to it now, just have to fit it to the car tonight to see how it looks, if satin doesnt look great, im going to try matt black.
if that doesnt work, they'll be going gun metal
i think the satin black will look great on it
another option (photoshop)
Matt Black

i think the satin black will look great on it
i'll know tonight.
if the satin looks the part, it will go from a €250-€300 refurb to a DIY €20-€30 job
