Emm they are a little underpowered alrite but it wouldnt be a bad way to start, you can drop a 325i (2.5ltr straight 6) engine and box in quite easily and thats 170bhp straight away!
Real easy conversion and theres alot of engines and bits out there to do it!
But with the price of nissans from uk, it'd probably work out nearly the same to
put him in a cheap 200sx!
i presume its to do with insurance jay...
ive had 2 e30 318s, the first one ( 1986) was grand, easy peasy in the wet, went with EFFORT in the dry! the second one (1990) was a serious piece of shit and wouldnt spin up first in the wet. german shite!
there horrible to drive, thats a bad thing about driving them

Yeah E36 318s are shite for sliding. I know nothing about E30s though but as above a higher litre'd E36 seem to be alright, there's a few lads in the UK skiddin them

e30 320i's do fair sized roundabouts not a bother ;) a 318i would probably do it with alot of clutch dancing to keep it out
good wand-good clutch and 70 psi..mint....honest:p
I plan on gettin one . A 318 , due to insurance .
