View Full Version : wheel alignment????
where do ppl get their alignments done?
around dublin if possible?
need camber castor & toe checked
been going around the local places & what a bunch of muppets
either get its "too low" or looked at like ive 2 heads,
i reckon the cars a mile off after been decked,
this could be a useful sticky thread also for anybody else in the same boat:confused:
if the car is too low. well then ya wont be able to do it lad.
ive had the same prob with mine on fri..
we'd to take off the front wings.
then ya can only set the tracking on the front and the camber.
wont let you do the caster
cause u need the machine set up on the back aswell

Im going to start supplying and fitting tires aswell as wheel alignment asap, i do all our own cars and have most of the equipment, except the turntables with gauges for doing caster!
But i can do you toe and camber for the moment if it suits ya??
Can u do the full job for me Jay when ur ready?
i was told im too low by a few places then advance pit stop told in swords told me they would put it on the ramp but if i hit any thing its my own risk, i got on their ramp not a bother. they done trackin toe and camber for me

sound man where excatly are ya?
just decked the car & pulled/flared the archs & camber on pass rear looks fair bit off,
do silly low offset wheels make a differece to your methods
just few places said to put standard wheels before they even touch it
(prob just an excuse not to do the job):D
ill test jays method and report back, mine feels way off since i dropped it!

If you put standard wheels on and track it, then put wheels with a different offset on, the tracking will be off again!!
I'm in Greystones in Wicklow, my number is 0876179780
If you wana call out during the week i can see what i can do for ya?
Proberly a silly question But is it ok for me to somtimes have

Thats only on some laser based machines.
Camera bases machines like john bean etc are much more accurate and are not effected by different offsets.
They are designed to align the hubs to the required settings and therefor it doesn't matter which wheels are used, These are more widly used for racing are are much better for setting up cars with a full range of adjustments.
