the story is,
friends got a s14a silvia, import, mods etc,

the other day he took it for a drive,
the tank was 1/3 full,

- he noticed that going round corners (GOING round corners that is)
the power died a bit or else was fueling,

im a noob so i was saying to him maybe try a swirl pot,
but im not sure,

anyone got any ideas whats going on? or whats happening,?

and ideas of prices for upgraded or new mods would be super

thanks

^^ beat me too it.

Its gonna be costly unless he gets it sorted quick. Does he know what pump it has or how old it might be? or what size injectors and fuel pressure hes running?

Shouldnt be a need for a swirl pot unless your sucking major petrol. Its not cheap either, im going down that road at the min :(

Try start with a visual check of the pump and housing make sure it hasnt come off its slide in the tank etc

Uprated pumps arnt the most reliable compared to standard ones so it could be just nakerd!

I dont think nissans generally suffer from fuel pump starvation and need swirl pots..

Try get a lend of a working uprated fuel pump and stick it in, it has to be an issue with the tank/pump if its ONLY effected by cornering etc..

my bet is that if you upgrade to 740s you will only sreatch the demand for fuel more also cause over fueling,

Check that the mesh 'sock' hasn't come off the pump and that the pump itself is still secured to its mounting in the tank.
