Very nice, bran spanking new coily's and all!!
Turbo's the exact same as mine!
Is there a flexy-pipe anywhere along that exhaust??
no why,has yours? which section?
Jay Rockett
15-07-09, 22:50
No it hasnt, needs one though.. really really badly!! just have more or less the
exact same bits you have and i'm constantly going through exhaust gaskets, i reckon its cause theres no flex what so ever in the exhaust and the abuse it gets on track leads to my constant blowing exhaust parts and now cracked manifold!
Damn your car is savage!
cheers man,
what gaskets you using,i seen in your project thread how they keep blowing, what exhaust you got?
Jay Rockett
16-07-09, 12:50
Iv tried a few different gaskets and even just exhaust putty on its own so theres more thread on the studs, it was mainly the turbo elbow gasket that kept going but it has to be down to the lack of flexy-pipe so i'm trying that next!
Duno what exhaust it is, its decent and big but thats as far as i know!
i know a few lad thats had this prob, and elbow nuts coming undone, flexi pipe sounds like a good solution, let me know how you get on
what power is your car running with the t517z?
Jay Rockett
16-07-09, 14:22
330bhp and 320ft lb's of torque at 1.1bar, has standard cams and unsure of any internal work but i'll be putting in cams and remapping it soon to get a bit more out of it, i find it quite dead below 1500rpm and it doesnt boost fully till 3200rpm(ish)!
How do you find yours??
only drove it twice on the road and the tracking was off,but it was a bit laggy but i think a good map and a new boost controller it will be sound
i thought the t517z would be able for more?
Jay Rockett
18-07-09, 00:23
i thought the t517z would be able for more?
Duno what its capable of really, i'll stick in mild cams and see if robbie reckons more boost will be ok then map it and see what i can get!
well iv the T518Z in mine (10cm exhaust housing) and its can handle upto 420bhp
if thats any help?
