said id stick up a bit of a thread on my sr86 build for road and trackday use

bought this 2dr trueno shell about 8 months ago

sold the trueno front and went for levin front

bought complete sr20det running gear from a 98 low mileage 180sx just in from japan real good dry engine

i had a standard ae86 axle with a trd 2way but sold it on just incase the sr20 made shit of it.

done a bit of research and decided to go with a mk1 pajero axle shafts are near twice the size and good a strong
so got that all welded up to fit the ae86 by dennis healy

picked up a set of shocks, hubs and groved discs shocks had adjustable top mounts and trd blue inserts and made i my own coilovers out of them by buying sleeves, springs and top hats for them of a rally crowd in england, i went with a 8.75kg spring for front with the sr in there,

bought a new set of rota rkr 15x9s (wont get jdm internet points for them) but look good and are cheap compared to watanabes in them sizes

bought some mcn avo rear coilovers , ksport adjustable rose jointed rear links , techno toy tuning traction brackets , Grp4 rose jointed adjustable panhard rod
just need to pick up a bigger arb , and i got a pair of 30mm NRCA AND 30mm spacers all round

so got it up and rolling and fitted the sr20 in myself with mounts i bought but wasnt happy with the way the engine was sitting it was to high and foward for my liking.

so my mate ( gtrslider ) has a garage here in mullingar and he was going to do the wiring on it for me anyway made up different mounts and got the engine sitting down lower and further back without cutting the bulkhead

would recommend john (gtrslider) for all types of work, reasonable priced and knows what hes at
give him a pm on here if you need any work done on your cars in the midlands

he has the car all wired up and running now ,
still a bit of work ahead to finish then its off for spraying hopefully in the next week

i have gathered up a load of bits and pieces over the last few months for this

never again will i build a car up the stress of it and sore on the pocket haha

heres my dash cluster i made up too

anyway this is the way the car is at the min only pics i have
