View Full Version : altezza/is200 extra lock
altezza/is200 extra lock whats out there.is it hard to do this diy,cut and weld. any 1 on here ever do this.
rack spacers and modified steering knuckles would be the cheap option.
did you do this your self lad.do u shorten the knuckle and move the rack to the front of the car or just drop it
I use C's garage knuckles based in New Zealand with x110 chaser tension rods and castor arms if u don't have big wheels u may get away without the castor arms!

Surely the castor would help self centring anyway? My Altezza wasn't great for it
Altezza castor arms are the same as jzx110! Lexi break does knuckles that quicken up the steering and use rack spacers aswell. You can extend the lower arm 30mm or so but you will need longer tie rods aswell
so i dont need the jzx110 arms??.dose the knuckle give ya extra lock.when u say lower arm,do u mean the wishbone.do i cut the tie rods and make them longer and by how much.thanks
Nope! Altezza arms are the same. Ya it does but not much on its own, there's ofset knuckles you can get too instead of cutting and welding. Well if the lower arm is extended out 30mm the tie rod would want to be about the same but there's direct replacements you can get keep in mind this will add a lot of negitive camber too. Look up pete_the_russian on here he has a project thread, good read
