To be honest lad only lack of knowledge.. Like as u know most people will go power fc if financially possible but hard to come across cheap ish one for rb.. Lack of knowledge tho, iv no experience with them but plenty with the FC.. Like it's all hear say so not sure.. Stuff like is it true it's not possible to retard timing and limited with stuff or is that just the older emanage blue?. And having to change loom too.. And the way some say need MAP and take out MAF, but Greddy sight describes them as cheap way of mapping a car without having to change original engine sensors and looms ect?

Why not go nistune ??

I just read that they now have a update so vct can be used with a rb20 ecu now as well

I've an ECU from a Z32 that you can use Nistune on an RB25 with VVT control. Planning on using it when I swap out the RB20 but it's not going to happen anytime soon. PM me if you're interested.

Whats this big thing about rb20 cams ??

intake cam has slightly bigger lift on the intake that's all ?


RB20DET Camshaft duration 240°in, 240°ex lift: 7.3mm in, 7.8mm ex

Nistune done make a ecu for rb25 so they do away with vvti and u use rb20 cams then u get a map able ecu for cheaper

I still don't understand why 20 cams.. can still map with without the vct :$

oh and no nistune have released a new patch / update to run vct on rb25 with a 20 ecu
