Cheers for the comments guys much appricated. Ya Darren have to make
a firewall for the rear section havint decided yet how to do it as ive no pipe
work run yet for the tank.
Ah right,
Is it too late to cut the floor and sink the tank down into the spare wheel well
would look nice and neat with a small firewall inside then and will keep the weight nice and low in the chassis, fuel is heavy
Not telling you your business, just a suggestion
Dis build is deadly, nice to see alot of pride goin into your work man! very tidy, id hate to drive dis in d rain wen its finished!, id be afraid of al them shiny new suspension bits geting dirty!! lol :p
Ya its probably to late at this stage to go cutting the floor Darren, would
it be legal for the regs if I made a flat panel to sit on the floor and seal at
the boot door window when its closed down also is there a requirement
for what the firewall is to be made of.
MCNSPORT.com
10-02-10, 01:18
ya pretty sure that would be cool
and really no requirments as to what it has to be made of. once you make a nice tasty job of it, it should be fine and it looks like that will be no prob to ya
keep up the good work!!
Cheers Darren good to know need to get fuel system in first then will go
looking into it.
Been away in athlone for college since the start of january so havint made
much progress back to work tomor so can get going on it again. Finally
got it off the spit on its new wheels have spacers on the way aswell
fitment on the back is a bit weak at the mo,

class build lad, keep up the good work :D
This is a Awesome build I just scanned through the posts.
Just wondering why you did not decide to tub out the front arches.
Robbie Daly Ps13
04-04-10, 16:40
Theres no need to tub front arches unless your running massive wheels..............!
johns13silvia
04-04-10, 16:45
savage build lad keep up the good work
Thats pritty much the reason as Robbie said it should be fine on a
9 and half inch rim. Been doing wiring for last couple of days
removing crap thats not needed, theres a lot of weight to be saved
from the loom will post pics in a day our so when I have the bits finished!!
stack-180sx
05-04-10, 12:22
will you have this finished for this year lad??
A big glass box is the only place for this car!!! Quailty of work is class... best of look with the rest of the build:)
Thats the plan so far lad its a disaster trying to get parts together
at the mo
Been a while since ive updated this been messing with wiring have everything
gone from the original loom now and im left with 4 wires  Haha the rest
I will make myself it amazed me how much crap there actually was in the loom
Also started bolting small bits back on and to a big step forward yesterday
and started to pipe the the fuel stuff just waiting for my swirl pot to finish
the inside of the car off heres some pics,

It has aeromotive 10 micron filters into 2 bosch 044's which will feed the
swirl pot then a aeromotive A1000 pump up to the rail. My stroker kit
also touched down so will take pics of that over the weekend if I get a
chance

Which had inside my brakes. There 330mm discs front and back with a 6pot
caliper for the front and 4 for the rear. I opted to get a custom colour
done on them which was picked out by Mick from Barrys motorsport
which was spot on. So set about fitting them today have the fronts on
rears tomor heres some pics,

Well James!! A serious serious build and fair play to you!! I've seen this come along from the start and i can't wait to see the end product!! I don't think theres many (if any) cars being built with such attention to detail as you have.... It only seems like a few months ago we went to japfest with this white 180 kitted up!!
Get some new pics up!! Great work dude :)

This has been quiet with a good while guys mostly cause ive been giving
mick barry a hand with his compact all year so kinda put the nissan to the
side for a while, Have still been collecting bits along the way though.
Collected the head from robbie last month after he machined the combustion
chambers for me, Block is currently being machined up with it darton liners:)
Got a mazworxs headgasket oil adapter block and there stunning sr20 inlet
manifold aswell. Hopefully will finally start assembly on the engine within the
next 2 weeks. Had to bin the idea of the version select bumper as it was too
short so reverted to the d style bumper i had and also added a pair of
koguchi power 50mm front wings:cool: that i got from super clarkey!!
This is the manifold,
