Picked this up last night at right money for petertaylorbudget, got to the car and he told me the headlights dont work! drove home in the dark behind jay in the van haha. SAFE

ah well see if it will last the monumental month ownership test haha.
Plan is a subtle kit, space these wheels out, lower it more, ducktail maybe, generally just make it a bit different to other s bodies on the road!

this was confusing me, as they shouldve been like that anyway, then i checked the old thread and someone had it so the face was on the outside of the dish, odd.
really do like the look of this car and was trying to get a mate to buy it the last time it was up. will look better when you do a few bits to it. i wouldnt change the wheels, just need a bit of a polish. drop me a pm when your selling it :)

Has it still got hids? There what's causing your no. Existant headlights. They need the earth fixed always happened to me. Atleast once a week.

mate of mine had a set of lms on an m3 and they were the same as this, face was behind the dish.:huh:
either it was because they were silver and it just wasnt as notciable, or they were just better offset to begin with.

Wings are there rotting in my back garden, there free though! I also have the standard square regs if those wont pass nct

So todays update, I wanted to keep the bbs and make them work with a different kit, but after a lot of googleing last night, 17s and 14s just dont work as well as 18s.
Soooo, got some WORK Emotion CR Kai in chrome, 18x9.5 et20 all round. Theyre on the car and look sweet against the blue, no pics till I lower it though as its making me uncool even having it that high parked in the drive. haha
Little teaser of the dirty wheels, they are concaved just dont look it in the pic!
also have spacers to sort out that little gap.

yeh they are about 10mm from the lip of the arch with no spacer!

obviously it was gayly high, and the bumper is gayly gay.

me too !! oem is cool , but sometimes stupid fibreglass an the right wheels can look bad ass! both styles rock as long as done right !! i think a really clean car deserves oem treatment but dirty drift buckets can rock shitty kits haha
it looks really clean from the outside bar that arch now! adn i havnt really drifted it at all yet, but im going down this route!

To be honest, that URAS kit isn't the worst. I've seen worse replica's with shoddy fitment hanging off cars. This doesn't look too bad in my eyes.

Yes on the brown was going to do my drift car that colour before i broke it X5 brown or something simaler
not much of an exciting update but sure a few bits done.
picked up chargespeed overfenders, they were in shite but there nearly back to former glory now! jay rockett unseized the coilovers and lowered the back down another inch or so, hes going to cut the arches and seal them up when he gets his sheet metal delivery and then ill put the overs on.
he went to weld the diff yesterday but found some teeth broken off the pinion, so i picked up another welded diff tonight.
loom has been moved from the arch up into the engine bay
picked up a dmax roof spoiler
hopefully have my name down on a 326 power wing
and then will be going for a complete respray in a funky theme next month at some stage. hooray! should look the tits

From the picture there your caster looks way off on RH, sort it out and it wont rub or less any way!

So the wavy passenger side rear quarter was pissing me off for 2 reasons. 1) it looked silly and broken 2) the 2 quarters are different due to all the filler, this means its making it very hard to get the car lookign level. I need to get it aligned asap so I needed to get the ride height right and only way I could do that was by fitting the overfenders.

the quarters are only going on roughly, as can be seen, with minimal rivets. just needed to get them on to get my ride height right then they will come back off for repair and proper fixing.

have colour lined up, just going to wait till its sprayed to reveal it tbh! shouldnt be too long, just waiting on the final piece of the aero puzzle and also to make my own widened/vented wings then its off for complete spray

50mm. you cant get any smaller unless you go for rocket bunney which are 30mm but only cover half the quarter! so im going to need spacers. but its better than a wavy quarter!

2 little holes, just pulled off the badge as i prefer them without.
was doing more on it today trying to get the back wheels pointing the right way, still a long way to go before the wheels are sitting right! I cleaned it too, then it pissed rain now its dirty again.
I may have to lower the front again now, as it looks way too high?

Really like it pete well done sir can i just say one thing defuser is needed big time but that rear spoiler neeeds to be moved back a bit and sat lower other that that you have got it spot on props for being the first man to bring it back

i then made and fitted some canards out of perspex and sprayed them black and fitted them, aswell as the clear side lights

so the back end had lots of tat stuck on it, decided i needed to do something with the front end and change the wings, was going to cut them out and make something work, but declan byrne wanted rid of his fiberglass vented ones so swapped him

yeeeeeh, rustoleum. i mixed it 1/1 with white spirits, and started rolling it on. yessss, a paint roller. id like to point out at this stage it was meant to go down to dan hegarty to have a proper job done, but the car needs mechanical bits and bobs sorted and id have had to trailer it down to cork and just dont have the money for that at the moment, so for 50 quid i got 2 tins of that paint and got to work!

bought some blue tint off ebay and got tinting, side windows are all fine, back one is a mess as expected really, but will try slice the bubbles out of it, adn thats where im at now! still need to decide what to do with the rear of it in terms of exhaust and diffuser, have an idea in my head though! heres how it sits as is

thats it there really, some people will like it some wont, im happy as larry with it now thats all that counts really! i know the back looks weird but im positive a diffuser will even it all out! a decent transformation over the years!

Just goes to show two cars with the same parts can look so different an all it was was some imagination an a few grinding discs !! Fair play man it looks more bad Ass than a lot of cars that wuda cost 3 times more to build fair play !! Look at the team review kouki 180 before he took kouki kit off he had a class rear diffuser sumthin like that would finish it off !!

ah yeh, theres no better tool than the grinder, so multi versatile haha! and then the hammer soon after. yeh im going for something like his newest version of it i reckon, need to make a few up in cardboard for a look.

i think the shtackers make the car! kind of what i'd like to do with mine is lay them like that on it. And the paint job is motivating me to do a colour change now fair play to ye for getting your ass into gear and chopping (pun intended) away at it!

Here's one from back when I owned it. Uve done some work looks sick well wear with it.
So much love for this. Roller job worked out well enough. Is it just temporary ? a wet sand and and polish would work a treat on it

if you've put on heavy cuts you might be able flatten that down and polish it up

thanks lads! yeh i wanted to go a bit of an older look (with the exception of the 326 wing) just as its a bit less common. ye at some stage i may see if a valeter could cut it back so its smoother/shinier! dont have too many close ups but heres a few

man I dont know if its the pictures but that dont look too bad, not as rippley or orange peely as I expected
take a small square section and wet and dry and sand it with 1500, then 2000 paper and then polish with a heavish polish and see how it turns out - ya never know with a bit of effort it could turn out really really well...
maybe 1200-> 1500 -> 2000 if the paint is more uneven than the pictures show... but only if you're confident theres plenty of paint there to cut down to flat...
how many coats and how heavy as a matter of interest ?
