About time i got this up on the site
Big thanx to damo for all the help so far and specail thanx to red bull and plasma cutters :D

1990 BMW E30 318i
As she was when i first picked it up

Spec:
Welded diff and bald tyres :D

Car was only got for a king of the ring show event during the year (few holes in floor pan hence no test)

Decided to use it as a advertising vehicle at the show too so started to get it into shape

Blatant free plug there for me lol

After the event was undecided what to do with it, but after a sunday at a prodrift event in fermoy my mind

was made up to build it into a specail machine and hopefully enter drifting events next year.

After about 5 mins research on the internet(yes i found a few pictures) the decision was made to sr the

monster

By pure luck i came across a burned 14a so the donations started

Cool project and well on its way by the looks of things, fair play to ya for takin on the challange, it would have been so easy to go down the 325 or m3 road, thumbs up from me;) lookin forward to seein this finished,

great project, and fair play so far, but just be carefull when your fitting up the s14 suspension not to mess up the geometry, acherman, roll center, etc. other than that best o luck and keep her lit.

oh god!! and it looked like a avragely clean e30 shell!! and if you dont mind me asking you why did u decide to use the s14 suspension?? e30's have better lock standered than a silvia and with a set of e46 wishbones with esentric bushes you can have have up to 7degrees castor then e36 m3 evo top mounts you will get 4degrees camber

it wasn't that clean. Plenty rusty holes under the sound deadening.
Wanted it to be completly different plus no one told me that before either lol and aftermarket parts seem to be cheaper and more readily available. World of second hand bits locally without trawling thru sites and waiting on deliveries

Plus doesn't say it can't be done, just if car doesn't meet criteria they have to approve it instead

• Each car must maintain the OEM uni-body structure, Pipe Frame/space frame Chassis (including pipe-frame extensions) are not allowed in any Prodrift Ireland Competition.
• Cars must maintain the original OEM unibody and/or frame structure between the original front and rear suspension mounting points.
• Vehicles that do not meet the above criteria must be approved by Prodrift Ireland.

A few from RD 1 of Prodrift

Only got it rolling and up to spec at 5am(cheers damo) this morning and on the road for fermoy not long after


Didn't do well at all so mr grinder will have to come out again to sort arches out :)
Loads of power and was reliable to boot :)
