View Full Version : Drift Car Budgets...
Thought it would be interesting in seeing what people spend on their cars...:confused:
Car is standing me 20k but worth every penny.............miss my tramp Sierra tho
yea very good thread lad. ;);)
but its depressing in another way to know how much you spent..:(
would say if i had to buy everything out rite im just over the 10 but i did a lot of swaping and trading for the car and parts to build it so its only realy standin me around 7ish still makes me sick the money i wasted on other heaps of crap over the years!~ would of had some car now if i didnt do that
im in the middle of spending over 1k on my fuel system.
Budgets dont work :p
In total, i'd say theres near £5000 tied up in the 200 so far (which would include the 17x9.5 Rota GTR's i got for £280 due to the fella not having a clue what they were worth :D ), with another £3000 planned before it see's the track again.
Why oh why didnt i buy someone elses drift car with all the work already done to it... :(
thats some serious bobs chucky lad....mind me asking how much you actually gave for it in the end??or is it a closely guarded secret??:D:D cant beat an aul trusty sierra!!

because the build is half the fun.
my drift car is my road car:D

I suppose..
In saying that, i was clueless about the drifting a year ago.. I didnt even know how to do it properly.. Used to just hang the tail out in the Skyline and Trueno at every opportunity, which is completely different :D
Now though, theres a full DW handling package coming, adjustable lower front and rear arms, hydraulic handbrake to get teh best out of the Skyline calipers, full set of bushes, a full VX bodykit (and possibly overfenders, depending on the new wheels) and then some more power..
It would be cheaper to build a fcukin house.. lol
about 7000, but its my road car too!

around 4k spent on parts for it.
i got my tramp + diff welded for under 1k :D
that'll do me till i have more experience anyway
cost under 3k for the siliva, two of us bought it so 1500 each allmost stanard just a diff and exaust on it,
had every at home off odd cars, like, cage coilovers, hyd handbrake, seat, bigger turbo, got givein a intercooler for free thanks jason, have a power fc and 555cc off the other lad, and getting it mapped next week hoping for around 300bhp:D,
only cost brake pads €35
oil and filter €60
not bad for a well set up s14
and sold the old lowered supension out of it too for 150:D

worth every penny, having a trailer and a tow yoke is good as least ya can drive the sack of the car and not have to worry too much if ya break it
