View Full Version : info needed....
any information on screamer pipes. i heard one before and it sounded class now im thinking of getting one for my s14. i need to know how they work, what benifits it would give my car, if there is any down side to them and were and how much would i get and pay for one?
They work by dumping the excess exhaust gases out to atmoshere instade of down the exhaust, near no benifit on a standerd car, the down side to em is they can be quite loud and remember that it'll make noise every time you come on boost. I'm fairly sure japspeed make em or try e-bay

Real screamer pipes are only used when running an externally wastegated turbo.
If you have a standard turbo you can get the fake ones but they are just a gimmic and make your car sound sh1t when idleing etc.

technicaly if you think about it if they worked properly the would not effect your power all the do is vent the waste air into the atmosphere hence getting ur crazy noise i had one on my car and didnt notice any difference granted they dont sound well on idle they sound great on full boost nearly sure one of the younger lenihan bros had one on his set up and sounded great on track
