Serious folks!:) I have a 225/45 on a 10J et12 with about 4 degree - camber at the moment and it wont fit under my archs with them flared, i'm getting the car setup properly +1/2 degree probably so a 235 with a 45 wont fit, i'm trying to make life easier for myself

Not be better off with a narrower tyre stretched onto the rim so? 45 to 40 isn't going to make a huge difference in height

Its hard to explain....I want the wider tyre for bit better grip and the smaller sidewall to try and compensate for the increase in width, if that makes sense

Have you got narrower tyres to bring aswell? 235 is a fairly wide tyre to be using. 225 would be 10mm narrower so wouldn't be much difference grip wise but the stretch might be what you need. you will pay more for a 235/40 than a 235/45 or 225/45 by the way, much less common tyre

225/45R17 will give you the same affect,

Are your wheels really low offset or what?? I rolled an flared the arches on a 32 before and he was able to run 0 camber on a 18x10 et15 with 225/40 tyres

Yeah the plan was 0 camber on a 10J +12 offset with 235/40's
Ended up being 3/4 degree (not enough adjustment on the arms) and put 225/45's on a 9j, not as planned, and I'm by no means an expert on this, but from what I gather this will be fine for me as I have stock powers anyway
