View Full Version : Diesel mechanic/fitter
Any DIESEL mechanics/fitters on here:confused:
depends why you want one.....
Ah few of yiz so:D:D
The pajero is driving shit when the heater/fan is on:( looses all power and i was told by an jeep mechanic it was most likely the injector pump, anyway there €3500 for a new one hahahaha so anyone that reconditions them?? Or that has diagnostics to check it?
1996, 2.8tdi also the aircon belt is'nt on it:rolleyes: Drives perfect, only when the fan is on it drives crap:confused:
not sure how the injector pump would be affected by the fan, more likely its the lift pump (if its an electric one) and there both fed off the same circuit id say its more than likely a bad connection somewhere, woudlnt be shit hot on modern diesels though having said that. i do know that injector pumps are serious shit and need a apecialist to workon them

are all the belts tight?

from what you have said so far Im happy enough to say its not an injector pump problem(pump problems would be hard starting hot-temp sensor problem, down on power/smokey-black/blue-blocked nozzles, vane wear, harshness when reving out-chipped cam plate),as Iv never heard of a pajero doing this in the 5+years im working in the diesel remanufacturing business,as mentioned Id have a good look at the wiring loom and auxilllary belts

Jeep is hers not mine:D needed a six/seven seater;)
from my experience with the newer pajeros,if the belts wernt tight enough or over tight(by a small margin) they wouldnt run at all, maybe on the older pajero there is a primative version of this???
p.s
sgould have bought a land cruiser hahaha
