So the story is im going from 8 1/2 J to a 9 1/2 j rim,
I want to use the tyres from my 8 1/j rims on the 9 1/2 inch ones!
The tyre in question is a 215/40/18 Michelan Pilot!!
Has anyone done it before and is there anyone that is experienced at stretching tyres that much that is around Dublin!!
Michelins have a relatively soft sidewall so shouldnt be too hard, There wont be as much stretch as the pic below because you have a 40 wall cant find one with the same spec as yours, but should be handy enough done cant see there been a need for any trickery to get them fitted,
Heres a 215/35R18 on a 9.5J

Shouldn't be a problem. I run 195/50 on a 9" rim.

With your "Tire"
Lads waste of time with bead blaster,
@Cefiro Panch .....get tyres mounted, bit of soapy water around both inner edges of rim, push tyre to one side can of butane lighter fluid few sprays inside tyre a can of your finest lynx or blow torch, and pop take a few times to get used to it but nothin special THB i seen it done to a truck tyre after that it was green light
ye wont damage anythin 5secs of lighter fluid should be enough
