View Full Version : Project "Silver Arrow....Zeeee German!!"
Bought this a few months ago as wanted to go RWD after a few FWD cars and try something different. Very clean with only 86,000 miles on a '92  . two or three bits of rust starting to bubble but nothing major but thankfully the whole underneath seems to have been coated and there's not one spot of rust underneath!
engine isn't the liveliest but at the same time enough to kick the arse out :D . the steering lock too is ridiculous
this is as i got it

plenty of plans for it, next though is boring things like alarm and paint touch up but then there'll be more power, more wheels, more lows etc
let me know what ye think :)
cant wait to see pics of it dropped with those wheels, get pressed metal plates too id say, looks funny with those plates for some reason?
Posh git measuring your dish with 50quid hahah

drop it like its hot...
thanks for the comments lads!
@shines14 just realised there I dont have a pic of it with german plates on it, they were the first thing I bought lol, a must for german cars!
@ Simon, dermot-r32 just wanted to show the disjyness :p . but ya i plan to get an AMG front bumper to get the nose sittin' in the weeds. But like all nice things, they're top dollar
@Simon ya the lock is crazy on them, few times thought i was gone past the point of no return but managed to get it back in line
@adam O C, topdog hopefully now lads she's be sitting sweet for the weekend! picking up the shortest spring pads possible for it tomorrow to put in when the suspension is going on. fingers crossed it'll go low enough though....
there's 225/40 all around but just got 215/40 T1R's for the rear and 195/40 proxes for the front so even more stretch :D

Dont think the steering wheel suits it
spacers on the rear aswell and strecth the tyres then it would be gangsta
this has the ability to be savage man i like the plans
sit it on its hole .. good luck dude
Always wanted one of these, looks tasty, when you lowering it?
@MPM-PHOTOS ya to be honest it's just something cheap to keep me going until i get my hands on something like a Nardi, the standard one is way too big.
spacers  . after dropping from 225 to 215 (225 to 195 on front) today and with arch rolling it'll barely clear it, never mine with spacers lol.
@tomsheen thanks man, hopefully now. going to stick at it anyway, few touch ups and small bits for a while but hopefully in a few months should have a new power plant!
@Davie well the plan was today but found out when the tyres were being fitted there's a nice bit of kurbing on one wheel so thats set things back a day or two. All going well should have the wheel back tomorrow and can roll the arches and fit the suspension

as i said on h-h leigh shes going to be right fancy when shes done dude ;)
Looks great with the borbets, I have a 91 e200 with a snapped timing chain going for scrap soon if you want to get anything off before it goes its there.
Thanks pa, coming together now!
@mkeogh tahnks for the offer man but pitty there'd be nothing much useable from it  . thats the one thinng with the merc engines in older ones to replace the chain could cost more than the car!

she's fairly low...
Rate the kit very highly, stiffens it up but still very comfortable, fells very refined. Very happy with the look but I'll wait till the springs sit in properly before i make it any lower.
