Plans for the car are to give it a full respray, fit rear over fenders, repair the kit and tidy her up generally. Got material to flok the dash (gonna mount the apexi ecu on the dash to make a feature of it). Need door cards for it as the handle to close the door attacked my knee when I got out of it the other day !! She's getting a good service and mapped this week in prep for her first outing at bishopscourt, I was going to paint it over the winter but thought I'd be better to take it out the way it is first 'cause I AM going to hit it (if ya don't clip 'er ya ain't trying hard enough).

probably THE worst looking car in prodrift, thank god your going changing it! best of luck!
LOL Yeah she's a real marmite car ya either love it or hate it however I can see the potential through the flames (pardon the pun), and all the ground work has already been done she's a good car underneath. Got hold of uras style skirts for it to match the front bumper. She's going to be painted Battleship grey and get it stickered up real nice, If ya's are on Forza 3 add me TAMTAF i've a rough design for the colour and graphics scheme done up.

Houston we are ready for bishopscourt!!
Ok time for a big update bought my kit and overs off newsome on here and have got to work on the car after finally getting her back from mapping, now running a safe 335bhp:).
first a few pics of how she'll look

Had to repair the over fenders due to being 2nd hand, one was easy but the other was not so easy. The previous owner had attempted to repair the fender but didn't prep for fibreglassing and as I started to sand it the fibreglass began to lift. Only answer was to remove it all and start again, please note a LARGE portion of the rear part was missing and now has a section from and unknown front bumper in place. These are going to be used as moulds which I am making to make mint copies from.

Really should have took more pics but both are rubbed and completely mint ready for primer but will wait until the rest of the kit is ready.
Also fibreglassed the front bumper due to cracks and fractures again this has now been isopon'd and rubbed, the skirts and rear bumper need minimal work so all should be primed hopefully tomorrow night.

I know the kit needed some work but I do it day to day so was no big deal.
Did some more to the car today, pulled the stickers off her and surprisingly the body is in pretty good shape except the roof and bonnet(bonnet flew up @ some point) and the rust on drivers side arch but this is being cut out for the fenders anyway. Very little paint came off with the stickers thaks god only a bit around doorhandle etc etc.

Test fitted the overs also, unfortunately the one I repaired cracked as it was screwed on, but now its in its position I'll repair it on the car therefore it will be the correct shape it needs to be. Beat out the dented querter panel into rough shape too. Took of the wrecked side skirts and put on the new ones along with the rear bumper to see how all fitted together.

Plans for tomorrow are to attack the front and get all fitting nice, mark the dents the repair and sand her down, hopefully! Myself and stuart are both doing the same work to each others car(he has a onevia drift car getting a respray and overs etc etc) BOTH OF THESE ARE TO BE PAINTED STICKERED AND ON THE TRACK FOR MARCH 5TH.
We're cutting it fine as we still have our normal day 2 day bodywork repairs to do and are doing these at night or if we have a slack hour or 2.
Do the car a favour man and change the exhaust,Closest car ever to sound like a hybrid in prodrift!
Sound dead on now its running more boost and the engine generally running better.
good garsoon matty lad ..she comin along well .. there was some bad flamage along the sides there.. lol

Looking well now fairplay..
Mega progress made I am not long in from getting the car PAINTED!!!!
Got the front end all lined up and fitting real nice on friday, sorted out the bad fitting overfender and a few other bits and bobs.

http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/f77c9f23.jpg
First thing today me and Stuart fibreglass'd the rear bumper and side skirts also pon'd them too.

http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/ca74812e.jpg
Had to rope the big guns in today John (Stuart's dad) and bodywork genuis. Got him onto sorting the rear arch's did a brilliant job on them.

http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/32919371.jpg
Then moved on to preping the body. The car wasn't painted in the way I normally would do things so had to removed all the flaking paint in order to leave right. She also wasn't painted around the doors etc etc just what the eye could see and the kit was also bonded the painted on the car so had to remove all bond and feather it all in smooth. Real pain in the ass!!

http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/451aa99f.jpg
Many hands made light work so thanks to wee Ben too all help was needed. Got the car into the booth and all taped up finally seen light at the end of the tunnel.

http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/a82780ef.jpg
This time we painted around the door shuts, inside of the doors and boot, also the tops of the wings as again this not being done the last time left the car looking very untidy up close. Stuart blew the paint on in record time at 7 this evening, happy with the finish defo came out well but sort of sorry I didn't get the colour darker. Only took a few photos of her painted, Going to paint the kit and stuff tomorrow. Nearly there now....... Then have to do it all over again on Stuarts car:(
http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/c0269b8b.jpg
http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/7da50aa4.jpg
Busy busy busy again today, Stuart wasn't feeling too good after going out last night so was on my own today lol! Took the papers and de-masked the car. was starting to look a bit more like the thing.
http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/07b71da7.jpg
http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/volcanezx/ce56555c.jpg
Rubbed the pon on the skirts and rear bumper, primed the areas that needed primed. Gave the front bumper and overfenders the once over before they went to paint, took ages to get all setup nice in the booth ended not being able to do the bonnet so it'll have to wait till tomorrow. Was my first time doing the actual painting, I would usually do the priming and base coats but stuart does the laquering etc incase I fuck things up. That said the finish is brilliant, Stuart had full confidence in me painting, reckon I could be doing more painting in the future.

Start the rebuild tomorrow can't wait to see her take shape in the next few days!!
Well today we built the car back up again, flatted and buffed her. Must say well happy with the fit and finish. The bonnet is her own dented one so it'll not be stickered, getting a new one but not for a few weeks. Stickers to be on hopefully for the start of next week.

Cheers joey! Bigtime win for me bought the kit, paint and hardener for well under 400 quid. Only other thing she cost me was time, seen the potential the car had. Anyone got any pics of this kernage 240sx? Can't find any on google.

Jez dude.. they are two unreal projects! :) Fair play t ye! :)
Well guys, here's the last pics of the pair of them before getting stickered. I got new rubber on the P1's, found out they're 9j rear et17 and 8j et35 so no need for spacers!! Also wound they coilovers down too, but just high enough to get on the trailer.
Finally I must say they are cool as fuck!! Would love mine for the road, would be pure deadly. Graphics are gonna set the 2 of them off!!

fair play lad!!! its a different car now!!! p1's are lovely on er but still could do with spacers!!
Thanks Dan serious work went into getting her looking and running good. Camber has to be adjusted at the rear(lying in big time and tyres wouldn't last) as lowered it more, the P 1's sit real good on her in the flesh. Know what you mean all the rest of my wheels gonna look pure wank without spacers, but spacers cost money and funds are low for things like that with a full weekend of drifting ahead! DONATIONS OF WHEELS SPACERS GLADLY TAKEN lol

I'm looking suggestions for an interior colour as atm its the standard shit dark green and looks awful, dark and dirty. Solid colours only as it'll be done 2k paint don't wanna paint it in the grey.
Alright lads been a while from an update, unfortunately the sr spun a bearing. So out she comes, now that she's stripped the block is perfect, 2 pistons are marked as if debris was in the chamber and the crank is knackered. Not good, and to rub salt in my paddle clutch is fucked too, so need a flywheel and clutch 2nd hand if anyone has any lyin about.

That's the way she sits tonight, have a crank and acl bearings ,new rods and pistons sorted. Need to get, main bearings, arp bolts for head and big ends, steel head gasket and a set of rings. Thankfully the block just needs a wee hone and it's good to go, not goin down the road of forged rods and pistons........... But it's not being ruled out lol
No updates in a while, finally pulled my finger out an made some progress on her. Block and head is away getting machined. Block is getting dipped, decked and honed. Head is getting stripped, dipped, valve seats cut, valves faced and new stem seals. Was refusing to refit the engine without the engine bay being painted............ So I did this over the weekend

Hopefully wont be too much longer till she's out again.
Got the block back from machining, head will be with me next week. Where is the best place to get a gasket set for it? I don't need a head gasket (already have one) or valve stem oil seals(currently being fitted). Need one that won't break the bank, this rebuild carry on is expensive enough.
