Just a quick one (or three) about the ould welded diffs lol

Whats it like on a daily?

How do the Bavarian drive shafts hold up?

And where is a good place to get it done cheap?

weldo's are no prob for a daily car...dunno how bmw shafts hold up to them tho

What sort of BM is it?

Can be a small bit of a pain in the ass but the pro's easily out weigh the cons...

Half shafts shouldnt be a prob

Depends what your used to, I have had 2 cars with welders but I'm now on the lookout for a 2 way...can be a pain in the arse sometimes

what bmw is it, shafts are ok but will ware fast enough with propper sliding abuse, iv only ever broken 1 shaft in any my bmw but have worn a good few cvs

My da has been going on about drive shafts trying to put me off welding one

As above it's an e34 520i, it wont be sliding every day mostly just wet roundybouts on late nights and at meets etc



Where can I get it done in the Dublin area?

I wanna get it done by somebody that has done a few of them and knows the craic

i had no bother at all for daily,
just a matter of getting used to it !
