View Full Version : Stretched Tires...
Where stretches tires???
I went across to the local tire place and they said they can't do it, so I had to settle for 225s
I have 8.5Js and wanna fit 205s next time
Any body???
anyone with a bead blaster can do it for ya lad..
where are you????
225 on and 8.5!? bejaysus.
where are ya located? gem put a 225/40 onto my 10j no bothers. most tyre places wont do it, especialy if you arrive with the wheels on the car, they just wont be arsed trying

They went to do it and they had no idea how to get them to fit lol so I suggested brake fluid and a lighter...didn't go down to well lol
Where would have a bead blaster?
if you get em to mount the tyre, stretching it can be done yourself at home.
loads of videos online of how to do it but i used a can of deoderant and a stick with a rag on it to light it. and it worked perfectly.
ring derk....
he's on here..
he's a mobile service and has bead blaster..
lives in laois....
be up and down ur way whole time

iv 185s on a 10 and a 9.5 and 9 and 8.5 no problems you dont realy need a bead blaster but it helps some of the time.
any place that specialises is wheels and tyres. eastcoast alloys in ardee have a few young guys that are into the dub stuff.1 guy in paticular is extremely helpful, understanding and careful!!!

put tubes in the wheels works perfect...some bead blasters arent any use..195 10" works anyway:)
A mate of mine in Bray put 215s on my 9.5j torques. Will send ya his number if you dont get sorted.
if you in kildare, go to "best price tyres" up in rathcoole main street, ring valdas on 0876442769, hes doing my tyres in stupid sizes all the time, and hes great in what he does!
if your ever up north i can do it for ya

Off topic I know, but apart from looking cool, what is the benefit (if any) in stretched tyres?

Looks good, but allows a bigger wheel, and the car to be lower because the tyre wall is angled, so allows more clearence
