what sort of fans are you using? would two standard r33 fans work?

They run a viscous fan ,so you cant run too of them.
I run a single 12" kenlowe 2speed fan behind a 40mm alloy rad on my rb25.
I've seen the water temps go up to 100 after 10mins out in mondello.
I also run a 25row oil cooler.
I plan on fitting a 2nd 12" fan to my rad for extra cooling.

That fan is for cooling the air con rad, I dont think they flow much air compared to the fans with the fans with the curved blades.

Did you use the screw near the inlet manifold to get all the air out of the water system ?

no i bled it by leaving the rad cap off and revved until the bubbles were all gone, may try that bleed screw,

That's part of the reason it over heated so fast in you.
Put the cap on + run for a few minutes until the coolant get to a little warm.
Then open that screw "the 1 with the sticker "dont open when hot" a bit ,until you see the bubbles coming out .

What's the rad cap rated to ?

i used a 34 row oil cooler is around 250 euro + fittings and pipes prob around
500 euro all it...it saves blowing a engine..works perfect on a 1jz engine..i know if i had it on my rb engine it would have saved alot of the damage too.

No because the fan on the engine side is ment to be sucking the air into the engine...
